In 2005, Andy Christian brought Royal Restrooms to Florida. As an avid traveler and Gator sports fanatic, he was enthusiastic about all the possibilities where a portable bathroom such as Royal Restrooms could be utilized. A nice portable bathroom was just none existent at the time.

Andy Christian, Florida franchise General Owner and Tom Turner, Alabama franchise Owner, ride scooters together on a job located in Bermuda.

Since then, both Andy Christian’s and Royal Restrooms’ reputations have grown and soon expanded all across the state. With primary service areas in Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tampa, Orlando, Miami and the Keys, the entire state can be serviced within hours. “I was asked once by a wedding planner down in Fort Lauderdale on a Saturday night why I was there unclogging this sink. I looked at her puzzled as if why wouldn’t I, this is my business, my lively hood, my legacy and she replied ‘Well, know I know why my boss insists on Royal Restrooms.’ ” Christian said.

David Sauers, co-founder says, “I remember the early days with Andy. This business took us everywhere. Jamaica, Bahamas, St. Martin, Bermuda, Alaska, Canada, you name it and we went. In Bermuda, during the NatWest Island Games, we were only allowed to drive scooters. Needless to say, that was absolute laughter the entire time with Andy on a scooter and double that if Linda was riding. Andy’s wisdom of customer service and sales helped shaped what Royal Restrooms is today. His staff has big shoes to fill, but they have the best teacher you could possibly ask for.”

Nelson Angulo is our proprietor in Miami. A native of Cuba and self-made all-around entrepreneur in Miami. He and Andy became fast friends over talk of Royal Restrooms and soon a new office is born. Nelson brings a history of genuine gratitude and sincerity to Royal Restrooms along with a little flare.

Sauers remembers attending one of Angulo’s events on South Beach. “It was like nothing I had ever seen in my slow moving, gentile, native Savannah. The party was hoping and so was the bathroom! It was lit up like a disco ball, the bathroom had led lights underneath and on top and around the doors. I didn’t know what to think. I kept trying to take a picture, but the entire photo was one big light. People loved it. I mean they loved it.”
